Subject: Fwd: Notice of International Event or Meeting

Dear jen,

Please refer to the below series of emails.

If you have now the list of interested members or guests, kindly forward it to me so we can now request the invitation from Vancouver chapter, as needed in the visa application. Name, position, employer, employer’s address,( member, associate or guests)

I’m suggesting if we could forward the email invitation or send another teaser for the international conventionas we need to encourage others to join the convention.

Further, the Vancouver chapter promised( as per their email) that they will refund the registration fee in case the visa application is denied.

Appreciate if we could have time to discuss this matter with some of the interested officers/members.

Let me know your thoughts.

Good Morning Marissa,

For information for your participants in Qatar  and UAE (Dubai) go to :

How to submit an application:

·         As you mention that there are 40 delegates attending from Qatar,  if possible coordinate to send all the applications together or in small groups.

·         Ask delegates to write the name and date of the event and date on the envelope containing the applications.

·         Delegates should apply as soon as possible for their visa – fully completed applications including all supporting documentation is a must.  Delegates can include copies of any other document that they feel may help their visa application.

·         As an event organizers you should provide them with a letter of invitation addressed to them in a pdf format or are indicated on the website of the visa office processing their visa.  I suggest that you indicate on the letter the role they are playing in the conference.  If PICOA is providing any financial support (airline tickets, accommodation…), the letter state that. The letter should be sent to the individual, not to the visa office.

Ask delegates to read information carefully.  Many offices are using a new application form to be completed on line.  Delegates should also check processing times for the missions processing their visas to avoid any surprises.

Dear Elena,

Can you please advice our delegates from Qatar, Dubai, Brunei where they can apply for the nearest Embassy or Consulate in their areas?

I was informed by the PICPA President in Qatar, Romeo Ocfemia that there are 40 delegates who are attending the conference in Vancouver but they are having some problems with the visa application since there is no Canadian Embassy in Qatar. PICPA Qatar is one of our co-host in this 4th PICPA Global Convention and they have assignments in this convention.   Would you be kind enough to advice us where they can secure their visas.  Do they all have to go to the nearest Canadian embassy to apply for a visa or can they mail the applications?

Thank you Elena and wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year ahead!
